I thought they mentioned a perimeter fence a few episodes ago? I thought the same thing about the well lit house being a zombie magnet…

I bet the BB writing crew could make it work and make it compelling…

Someone posted about this a few episodes ago, calling it "The Dafoe deficit." These characters cannot figure anything out. Thinking and planning are a joke.

A smart followup scene would be Dale trying to TEACH Andrea to shoot. OK. I know she's dumb as a box of rocks. But that would make it interesting. Maybe Dale would think, "Why did I stop this bitch from offing herself at the CDC?!?"

WARNING: POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT BELOW….

Deputy do-right may think the group's survival odds are very good by staying on a somewhat secure farm with a pretty good medical provider. You can't fault that logic.

Yeah. Although the sex scene was somewhat plausible in that they set the zombie alarm tone to the "horse panic and dismemberment" soundtrack.

Picking up and appreciating subtle plot hints is probably not a strength of the average zombie show viewer.

Mad Men will save us before B B returns.
One Sunday night next spring, after being blown away by the smart dramatic tension of a Mad Men episode, I'll think:"WTF was I thinking last fall spending 13 hours of my life watching that Zombie Crap???"

The Dafoe Deficit is amply demonstrated by the ammo problem. These characters rarely show interest in searching / scrounging for ammo - even when around abandoned military vehicles.

I think you're onto something regarding the lack of discipline in the group. Basic security tactics should have been considered before even getting close to that traffic jam. After seeing a couple of friends / family members torn to shreds by zombies, such thinking would become 2nd nature to most in the group. And

Ok. I must have missed that fact in all the emotional blather…

Since they went with the buff-guy shower / bathroom scene this week, balance (or Title IX or some other bat-shit law) requires a similar female next week. I vote for Maggie dropping a bath robe (with a nice butt shot reveal) before joining Glenn in the shower.

Iin general, I thought zombie velocity was increasing from last season.

DID they have a good fence around the place???
The farm house is lit up like a Christmas Tree in the dark woods - you'd think it may draw a zombie or ten?!?

Meh. The show's writers have long ago wedded the characters to their respective weapons. The mouth breather video game demographic of viewers wouldn't know how to tell the characters apart if they changed.

RE: Rick's illogical freakouts…

With the right clothes, Daryl could look Shaggy-ish.

Yup, my thoughts exactly. No interest in any military hardware. It didn't even come up. You'd think ONE of the southern white dudes would have thought :

From a "more logical, realistic zombie perspective" (whatever that may be), the strengths of "28 Days Later" rage zombies are:
