Re: … the governor should have died; this not a show that can really handle long, drawn-out conflicts.
The show can't handle? More like the writers and/or directors are too inept to plot such complexity.

>>And given how easy it is to dispatch them, it's hard to imagine HOW the zombies over-ran the world in the first place. <<
The show is not terrible, but it could be so much better. The drama between the living could be more interesting.
Well done. The Rick Speech at the end would have worked out too.
The episode was generally poor - Rick's brooding is getting old. I'm wanting Rick to die.
"Characters who have to keep making mistakes in order to make a plot move forward are worse than tedious; they’re actively unlikeable, inviting contempt from an audience forced to watch their stupidity over and over and over again."
Where on TV (or this show) are there any good rifle shots? Or realistic tactics?
The Walking Dead is a joke regarding the realistic use and effects of firearms.
Good episode, finally. I agree: less talk is better. And the zombie killing, while a bit excessive, was high quality. When killing walkers, the group (finally!) worked as a team. They moved smartly, covered each other, and used smart (supressors!!! OMFG!!!) weapons.
While they're no Marine rifle squad, you can see…

My thought is: How dark can this go before Walt's date (a year from now) with his new M60?
