Samurai from the past gets sent in the future by a demon? Demon takes control of the world in the samurai's absence, so the samurai has to fight robots until final battle with the demon? Those are pretty specific similarities. I love them both, but jack is at least strongly inspired by ronin.

Ronin has already been done, at least by television. It's called 'Samurai Jack'. There's barely any difference at all between the premises.
