I watched the hell outta Barney Miller in the early 80's when it went into sydication. What a great show.
The opening bassline is AWESOME.

The Departed was a terrible film- shit, half those guys're from Boston and they could not even remotely pull off a Southie accent. The plot was predictable and derivative.
