GALLLEEOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Batman Minus Batman?

Pun threads are a kraut pleaser.

Hah! Cryptosporidium! The outbreak they would be referring to was the last time that I vomited, actually.

THERE'S A BOMB IN THE LASAGNA!!??

I kinda feel that way about Robb Stark, actually, while both have minor complexities (Robb has leadership thrusted upon him, Jon is an outcast) but both are pretty much characters that react to the situations they find themselves in, which doesn't always make for the most interesting characters.

*gasps* THE WIZAAAARD!!!

Neil Young - Down By The River.

Even worse is the post-boomers, the ones who are a little too old for generation X, but young enough to have been a child during the late sixties. At least boomers had to face Vietnam and social unrest. These fucks complain about the kids today as if they had experienced real hardship, because of the Carter years was

Am I the only one who hates the word "sexy"? The term sex is too biological to be erotic, like if something was referred to being very "reproductively".

And then there are the silly post-boomers, who think that they've earned the right to behave like grumpy old men.

My parents played Mellencamp constantly when I was growing up. My mom once said something to the effect that he was the hardest rocking musician she listened to (considering all else they seemed to play was Jackson Browne, The Eagles and James Taylor she was sadly right). And that's my gripe with John Mellencamp: he's

Fuck this, fuck that…fuckin' phonics…

In regards to Imagine, what I find frustrating isn't that it's preachy, it's because it contradicts Lennon's views in Plastic Ono Band-it's hard to take a universalist anthem seriously after hearing God.

Lurking around Calvary Cemetery I see…

Well…the thing about Lennon that raises my hackles is that while he may admit that he wasn't perfect, but he rarely shows that side of himself in his music, save for maybe Jealous Guy.

I didn't see Something Wicked until much later, but Jonathan Pryce crushing Jason Robards' hand was a ripe slice of WTF.

I'll give her a Melvin.

The weather really varies here-I live on Lake Michigan which can make for both very heavy winters and really uncomfortable summers for that matter. But we get all four seasons. Die Kreuzen's music does pretty much remind me of the time when you can't stand the winter in the city any longer!
I did see the Melvins 30th

Ah. I couldn't find out if it was an old recording or if it was just made to sound that way (the poem was written in that dialect, it seems). One of my favorite pieces of music, BTW.
