The first thing I ever read about this was accompanied with the following comment/question: "What the fuck, white people?"

Myrka looks like one of those two-man horse costumes.

They missed a massive opportunity by not making D-84 a companion. Instead we later got the stupid dog. Could you imagine a TARDIS with Tom Baker, Leela and D-84?

I don't think it's handled any better than the rat. Throw in the Myrka from Warriors of the Deep and I feel you have 3 of the biggest production mistakes in the show's history.

I met Nicola when I was 13 at a Who Con. I so scared; I had never been in such close proximity to a lady THAT hot.

Huh?

I couldn't afford comics when I was 8. Would have loved to have had some, believe me. In middle school I started saving my lunch money and making weekly trips to the comic book store.

Well, they're surprisingly pretty for what they are doing, I'll say that.

Oh, wait, *wouldn't*. Yes, we are back in agreement.

I would never such a stupid question.

Both talk as if English is their second language. I thought that was endearing.

"Heiter determines that the truck driver he kidnapped is “not a match,” and shoots him right in front of them. "

That's another point; Most of the afternoon kid's programming was from before my father was born. Heckle and Jeckle, Our Gang, Three Stooges, etc. All great stuff but I was definitely aware that I was watching something *old*.

Yea, you'd watch F-Troop because what the fuck else are you going to watch? And as far as playing outside: Yea, we did that. But there are only so many baskets to shoot or games of war to play. That gets boring, too. And I was usually bored with the kids in the neighbor hood, too! I don't think it's any accident that

More than any other piece of work I've encountered 'The Death-Ray' captures the gut boredom of pre-internet (duh), pre-home video gaming, pre-cable TV suburban America. If you didn't at least partly live through it (I turned 8 in 1980) then it's almost impossible to explain. Also worth noting that this was a time in

Speaking of Gilliam and unhappy endings: What about Time Bandits? Spoiler-

And then after the 101st take, they brought the sesh guys in. The band is probably still unaware.

Because if the music was produced by others then I'm not interested.

The fuck they aren't!

I get that the Bangs started off as a self-produced band, wrote their own songs, did their own records… all very cool. While it lasted. They handed their careers over to the producers and labels just as soon as they could. I would put money on the fact that everything after 'All Over the Place' is riddled with session
