Louie. Right now.
Art at the exact right time? Yea, that would be Louie for me right now.

Is it me or is Rashida Jones smoking hot but she goes out of her way to make herself look/seem as plain as possible?
I loved those first 3 albums, but…
I loved those first 3 albums in my pre-teen youth but, man, doesn't he love to place his own band in the pantheon? I've seen other interviews where Elliot laments the lack of critical acclaim afforded to the band. I guess it's just not enough to sell tens of millions of records and…
Well, there's the famous one when Kerry King was briefly in the band. Mustaine was trying to talk King into collapsing Slayer into Megadeth with a Araya on vocals only, Ellefson on bass, Lombardo on drums and Mustaine and King on guitars and everyone else would hit the road. I'm sure that's as true as Mustaine was…
I'd like to add that 'Reason' must not know what 'avant garde' means if he thinks it's 'establishment'.
Hearsay. Objection overruled.
I will definitely concede that he invented/co-invented a style of riffing that has subsequently spawned countless sub-genres. That gets forgotten, I think.
'Peace Sells…' was my first album
'Peace Sells…' was the first album I bought with my own money when I was 14. It's pretty easily their best album, best line-up, IMO. But Mustaine has always been a wreck… I'm glad he was decent to you during the interview. His interviews still always read badly. I just don't think you…
This statement:
"Though the band broke up in 1981, its influence is still felt today in bands like LCD Soundsystem"
Technicality, they just wanted to lampoon some lame superheros. My point stands.
Matter-Eater Lad, Bouncing Boy, Infectious Lass, etc.
This whole article could have been just on the Legion of Super Heroes.
I met Nicola Bryant at a con in the 80s. I was 12 or 13 and she was easily the best looking woman I had ever been that close to. I was VERY nervous.
I mentioned above, Young Justice, even though it has several unaired episodes from season 1, has 10 more episodes on order for a 2nd season, so… I don't know. CN and 'SyFy' could be dominating cultural forces but, my, are they mismanaged.
But they haven't shown a new Young Justice since March! They are sitting on, supposedly, a dozen or more episodes of that show. Yet they just announced a second season of 10 episodes with an arcing storyline, so… I don't get how that joint is run.
It's about one minute and fifty two seconds long. Nah, it's pretty impenetrable. But that's cool. I like at the end he goes 'Hate paper… hate paper doll' and end. I just like that for some reason. Yea, 'Flip Your Wig' is one of my favorite albums of all time. There, I said it.
I think F.U.E.L. was very under rated. And 'Favorite Thing' got a LOT of mainstream radio airplay. I think they could have broken into that 'next level' if they could have gotten an opening gig on, say, an REM tour. But I guess that wasn't in the cards. But I got to see them live (with the Boo Radleys!) and I got to…
No Last Starfighter?
I don't believe you can leave The Last Starfighter out of an article like this and say you've done your job. It was the ultimate wish fulfillment fantasy!
I have to agree. And I WANTED to like this movie. I like the concept/homage. I like most of the actors. Etc. But then I watched it and… I've never made it all the way through. It wasn't funny. And when a comedy isn't funny then that means it's boring. Sorry.
I loved Tarzan and I loved this movie which our local independent TV station played all the time when I was a kid. I guess, upon reflection, I am a Ron Ely fan. Huh.
Isn't anyone going to say something about the long pole in the rape tent?
