Moira Kelly's Donna was definitery more believable as the put-upon sidekick. Boyle's Donna was also sympathetic and wistful, but she was also pretty much perfect looking. With her personality and looks, she didn't really seem like an innocent, sheltered loser type.

Watching films on a phone doesn't make sense to him, I think we can relate to that opinion(but also be guilty of doing it).

There's always a method to his madness! I know the go-to joke is that Lynch can be weird for the sake of being weird, and maybe sometimes he is, but I will always give him the benefit of the doubt regarding the overall story. Just see him discuss Lost Highway and what inspired him to make it, or him saying that he

The speculation is that Laura Dern could be playing Diane. Either way, I'm sure the character will be around in some form.

Upvotes for effort.

She does have one of the coolest, creepiest, and memorable moments from the finale("I saw the face of the man who killed me.")

That would be interesting, but could Lynch really pass on dirtying Leigh up and having her play someone unhinged(think Mary Steenburgen as the neighbor, Laura Dern as whichever of her characters was being interrogated, or Jordan Ladd as one of the prostitutes in Inland Empire)?

She did come from the future to give Laura the ring. I guess we can imagine that she's stuck in a room in the Black Lodge that no one can get to…or something.

That's very true actually, she was there mostly for emotional conflict(lusting after dead best friend's boyfriend, dealing with best friend's meltdown in FWWM). Her dad was the town doctor, but beyond that she wasn't really connected much to the larger story.

Lynch supposedly gave up on the movies that were going to come after FWWM because of the negative criticism that it received at the time, so I guess it's believable that he'd get rid of a character who was disliked at the time and was(probably) only brought on to be a love interest for Cooper because real life issues

Not having Donna at all is weird, though. I wonder if Lynch killed off the character.

Didn't know about the anti-semitism. Where has he been proudly displaying it?

Herzog.

Lions, tigers, and bears…in space. Oh, my!

How did he not have one already?

They both had Jewel Staite, so that makes it a draw.

Isn't that from Twilight Zone: The Movie?

I'd say they had Flash Forward, but that was a Canadian import, I think.

Why would they air Halloweentown II before Halloweentown? Fired…blunder…etc.
