I liked the finale of BSG a lot, it wasn't good enough to redeem the last couple seasons but it seemed like the ending to a better show than the one with all that All Along the Watchtower garbage.

None of this stuff takes away from my enjoyment of the show but it is particularly ridiculous and there's no harm in discussing that. The only thing that bothers me is that the early seasons and the books stretched voyages for so long that this new pace makes me feel like they wasted a ton of my time. But c'mon, if…
It's possible, I think T2 changed the perception of the first movie a lot, it had been a low budget film that was fun because of Arnold's performance more than anything but it became a blockbuster action series. There's at least a chance he could do something that would make the series interesting going forward.
I shorted Titanic on HSX so I'm not making any predictions but why didn't it happen six years ago when interest was way higher? Talking about multiple sequels to an 8-year-old film just seems weird.
That's not right, I signed up when Take My Wife came out, which was a year ago this week, and have never watched on anything but Xbox. I'm almost surprised there's not more support here given it's the AV Club's own Cameron Esposito, although I never braved the comment threads on her column, I figure 60% chance she got…
They've done Berlin Alexanderplatz and Scenes from a Marriage, as well as the Golden Age of Television compilation.
I pirated the box set version of the show, which I'd bailed on halfway through season 2, never saw the whole movie at the time, but with The Return I'm curious again and a new Criterion remaster could be cool. Probably I'll pirate it but since the only blu-ray I actually own right now is Sweet Smell of Success this…
Hey, Danny Glover, nice to see Jay working with some younger artists, might be just the kick in the pants he needs.
I certainly wouldn't say Leonard's not an asshole, just that being an asshole doesn't interfere with his ability to sing Communication Breakdown. I don't need to respect entertainers as moral actors, that's not a part of music.
If Supertramp is too heavy for you.
I'm mostly with that, while still not being delighted by the actual content of the rant. Also I saw these guys in I think 1985 and they were absolutely amazing, saw them a couple more times in '90-'91 and they were already getting a little depressing. It's not unlikely they quit heroin in the meantime and they're…
I don't know how Entourage's rating were but Scott Caan was pretty much the only good thing aside from Piven and Constance Zimmer in the final seasons, at least in relative terms. O'Loughlin was a guy that CBS was pushing because he looks the part, and their judgment seemed to be correct. Park and Kim were better…
Fury Road seems like an odd choice here, formally that was pretty
unusual. John Wick was very much in the mold of other revenge action
movies, with the stakes raised on the violence a bit, but Fury Road was a
genuine oddball.
Yeah, they're amazingly consistent. There haven't been any great ones yet, but nothing terrible on a Fantastic Four level either. This looks like potentially the best one yet, but maybe just because Spiderman and Daredevil are the only Marvel characters I really like.
I watched the first few seasons—which is embarrassing—but I probably agree, I liked Grace Park and the shaved ice guy but story-wise Caan and his daughter was probably the closest thing to interesting, even though I suppose the mystery of O'Loughlin's dad was supposed to be the center.
I thought the trailer was bad but I also hated the fuck out of Scott Pilgrim, although I probably hate Bourdain even more so all in all I'm confused by this. If he does another genre parody with Pegg and Frost I'll watch it on cable but otherwise he doesn't seem like the kind of director whose name I should know.
It is kind of weird that BBC America carries ITV shows, it' s like PBS airing Chicago Fire. Welcome anyway, although most every British show makes some streaming service now.
Honestly, I binged Take My Wife when it came out and since then I watched the Doug Stanhope and Laurie Kilmartin specials and a few episodes of B$P, not great value for money but Kulap's generated enough goodwill on Who Charted to keep me subscribed at least through season two of Take My Wife.
I didn't recognize that it was Chris Brown, that obviously changes the whole meaning, bizarre theme for his appearance. But not knowing, I thought it was pretty good and that Ruby was the VIP for once.
Yeah, she ruined that show for me for sure. The writing turned into mindless nerd gobbledygook too but Root was by far the worst part. She is very attractive but like everybody else not named Sarah Michelle who's been in a Whedon show she's terrible.
