When you put “Unzipped” in a title, you promise something sexy, something not often seen

I like that "new" features means anything less than four or five years old. Also, I concur.
We would have preferred "Ursula Neigh Guin" but otherwise you get top marks.
The middle chapters of Y had a lot of the same problems. I feel like Vaughan struggles some with arcs in the middle of stories? I absolutely loved the beginning and ends of both Y and Ex Machina, but the middle segments often lacked a real feeling of impact, and I feel that Saga has suffered from that a little.
He's one of our nations' most prized strippers. Which, as we all know, is the second-most-valued occupation there is, right up next to "pope".
"Slayed" feels like an appropriate choice of words for this years WicDiv. They did write a very nice Big Issues article about #8: http://www.avclub.com/artic…
I was hoping they'd write one for the mind-blowingly experimental #14 as well, but no such luck.
Nice list! I second the love for Giant Days. I've always been a fan of John Allison's work ever since the olden days of Scary Go Round, and it's great to see him taking on print formats in various ways, with Giant Days and with his extremely nice Bad Machinery print versions.
You're nuts!
The most recent Gunnerkriggs have been intense. Siddell has definitely taken the design work on the strip to new and impressive places in this last year. Like in robot's vision last week: http://gunnerkrigg.com/?p=1599
Dear Mr Genius,
I am exceedingly pleased to hear you say this, as in my experience far too many of the youth in these latter days are unaware of the true value of a bit, much less that of a dollar! I am also pleased that Mr Lamar appears to be making an effort to expound more widely on this topic, and I can only pray…
Why doesn't anyone think of all the ha'pennies we've wasted over the past 150 years thanks to this "rounding" you so recklessly advocate! Why, the US government is just tossing bits aside! Whole bits I tell you!
The only way those hens could have been more French is if they were smoking anemically.
I had to stop letting myself drink Frappucinos about a seven or eight years ago. The explosion of caffeine and sugar was too intoxicating for me to handle, especially when it was followed by an intense aftertaste of deep shame and self loathing.
Hmm, that's an excellent point. I hope this is successful enough that they can take another stab at a more thorough adaptation, with less Foxworthy. Perhaps the contestants would look better overall filmed closer to home, with a longer shooting schedule.
Even if you can't make it to an Olive Garden, you can still, um, enjoy one of these: http://www.starbucks.com/me…
Lauren seems if anything too confident that she's completely killing this. The time she took admiring her own handiwork on the French Hens was basically like taking a victory lap while mooning the other contestants. I think that kind of clip is used a lot in editing reality shows if they want to make the frontrunner…
I did not care for her facial expressions either. And I feel like with better fruit selection she could have just poached her own damn pears and jarred them in advance. I don't think I'll ever be convinced that canned is better.
I sincerely hope that's the case, because it's the only way to make that premise make more pseudo-sense.
I preferred landaued jokes myself. But in a pinch, a remise will do.
Yes, it's unfortunate that I can't use my AVC-only account to access it. But on the other hand, it wouldn't feel like the AV Club without an opportunity to bitch about Disqus!
