How did Godzilla get top billing in this movie?
How did Godzilla get top billing in this movie?
Still amazed that no one's mentioned either of my favorites:
Time Chasers for the immortal Servo line, "Two kinds of plaid? I'm a naked robot, and I know that's a fashion no-no."
If only Andre had understood the irony of his own situation.
Someone on Twitter suggested a Howard the Duck statue in Cleveland earlier today. I say let's do more for Superman's creators here than a few street signs. I'd love to see a 30-foot Man of Steel installed over the new inner-belt bridge in a few years.
Maybe Detroit can split the costs with Houston where they filmed RobobCop II. I loved seeing the then-new opera house cgi-ed into an office building for the bad guys.
King Bastard,
Slaton smelled really bad too. There were some big cattle yards there, if memory serves.
The lady gnome cop grabbed her clothes, but by then it was too late. Gnome Patrick Stewart had seen everything.
I lived in Lubbock in West Texas for several years. A car dealer in nearby Slaton (sp?) started advertising that they beat big-city prices. At first I thought they were referring to people who drove the five or six hours to Dallas to buy cars.
Just looked Frazier up… sad story. That was well after my time down there.
If you notice, that was an AP version of my story in a different newspaper. But you know, things happen. @Victoria? The name Ryan Frazier doesn't ring a bell, but that was a long time ago.
Found a link to the AP pickup… pdf:

I really felt sorry for those poor teenagers who never would have thought up the idea of fucking on prom night had it not been for his offer.
He quickly revoked the offer when parents complained. He didn't do much advertising or offer any other special deals after that (at least until after I left).
The Victoria Advocate
More than a decade ago, I was a young reporter at a South Texas newspaper when a local hotel offered a prom-night special — dinner at the hotel, a limo ride to and from the event, and a room for the night. An assistant manager said the owner was trying to fight drunk driving. When I finally got to talk to him about…
In Theory was always one of my favorites because of what it did for Data as a character.
Marcel said he picked his team members based on talent. That's almost always a mistake. Talent without the ability to work as a team is worthless.
Correction?
I could be mixing my memories of two different episodes, but didn't Homer's brother live in Philadelphia?
Just watched the Princess Bride last night… other than the 80s synth-crazy soundtrack, the movie holds up.
