IMO EWS could have been a masterpiece if ONLY Kubrick had left the setting in 1890's Vienna and not tried to update it to 90's NYC.

Having seen and absolutely LOVED Moonrise Kingdom, I am feeling like the trick for Anderson is to pick the RIGHT material to showcase his arch, rather precious sensibility.

I usually manage to avoid the REALLY bad movies by not going to see them in the first place, but sometimes I get crossed up:
