That's interesting because I have never been 100% happy with Kartheiser's performance as Pete. His line readings always come off as a bit too stilted for me.

Not to mention the abandoned baby him/herself (its never been clarified if Peggy's sister adopted the baby as her own or not).

Considering all the dreck that was on TV in the 60's and early 70's especially I am half-expecting him to have a successful career in Hollywood. He could write episodes of Gunsmoke, Love American Style, The Brady Bunch….the list is endless….
