Bono's a big Elvis fan?
That's funny, because when they visited Graceland in Rattle and Hum they made a small deal about how Larry Mullen, Jr. was the only big Elvis fan in the group.

Dharma Beer
I was a little disappointed to see that Dharma Beer has the flip top tabs. Everybody knows that '70s beer cans had the old pull tabs that came completely off. I remember seeing those up through the mid-80s. It didn't really bother me, but it would have been a nice touch to see Kate toss the pull tab aside…
Sayid in the Hostile camp
I have a feeling that Sayid will join Bernard and Rose in the '77 Hostile camp.
Those aren't acrobat rings. That's for hanging the explosives when the Chechnyans take over the school.
I like this one… One dog goes one way, and the other dog goes the other way… And this guy's sayin', "Whadda ya want from me?"
See my post in the above thread. That baby would have been killed in the Purge if he was still on the island.
Wait, it can't be Ethan, can it? Ethan was an Other, but not a Dharman or Hostile. The Dharmans were all killed by Ben in the Purge. A Hostile wouldn't have been born in the Dharma camp.
The thing I liked best . . .
. . . about this episode is that Jim was a actual player in the office politics. He wasn't just looking at the camera with wide eyes while inhaling deeply. I loved when he and Dwight were arguing and later sharing the ice cream cake.
My DJ and I:
For all the good it'll do ya, you may'swell wipe your ass with that contract, bub.
Drat, I was packaging it up to return to Netflix at that point. There really should be a disclaimer for that sort of thing.
He's constantly refining his craft, asshole!
Where was the cameo?
I only saw this film once. Could someone remind me where SLJ's cameo was? I know he's contractually obligated to appear in any film that doesn't include Morgan Freeman, but I have no memory of him in this one.
Fuck that. It'll just turn into a thread about how everybody hates Ziggy.

Good point, bob vieri. From now on you'll be known as Jesus With An Eyepatch. Please register the name immediately.
Yes. But. Well. Of course you're right. My point is that it's not enough for Cruise to portray a guy who's become disillusioned with the way Hitler's conducting the war. Or a guy making choices to make sure that his family's taken care of after the inevitable fall of the Third Reich. That might be an interesting…
Cruise Can't Really Be A Nazi
Okay, how does the film distance Cruise from an actual Nazi officer? Does his character mutter things about Jews he respects? Does he quote Walter Benjamin? Does he listen to negro jazz music at home? Is he just doing this whole military thing to honor the memory of his heroic father, and…
The Best Thing About This Article
is that there's a good chance Tarantino is actually reading it.
. . . and I'm an idiot. Thanks.
