I'm in the same boat sadly. If and when it comes out I will play it gladly, but I'm not giving Double Fine any money in advance again.

If the prequels proved anything, it's that if there's one thing Star Wars fans want more of it's pointless and tedious debates over galactic economic policy

"I told you… you never give up on the gravy"

The thing is though that even though some of the actors seem to be in on the joke (NPH and Michael Ironside seem to realize exactly what kind of movie they're in and have fun with it), no one seems to have informed Casper Van Diem of that fact as he plays his role so seriously you can still make fun of that.

"You're not all powerful, Barack."
"Well, I should be!"

"People should have access to mental healthcare services to keep these tragedies from happening again! Now if you'll excuse me I have to go vote on a bill to stop Medicaid expansion amd increased mental health funding from happening in my state, because otherwise we'll have communism"

Your mistake is thinking that Oscars are handed out based on logic and merit, instead of based on completely arbitrary criteria such as "we should have given an award to this director for a different film and now we feel bad" or "this film is completely incomprehensible so must be really deep".

What really annoys me (among everything already mentioned) is Boba Fett stopping to look directly at the 'camera'. It's basically a completely blunt and desperate appeal to the audience of "hey it's that character you all like, pretty cool huh?!?"

"Mercy is the mark of a great man!"

If he wasn't related to himself, he would definitely date him.

I feel that just like 'Santorum' any term would not just need to be unpleasant but also combined with a concept the candidate would find distasteful. Maybe Trumping could also involve assisting undocumented immigrants or Muslims in some way that would make Trump livid.

That woman who ruined the Ecce Homo fresco?

To be fair, I want Alexander Siddig cast in pretty much everything, but I agree with your statement.

I thought he was dead

I'm pretty sure it was originally planned as a miniseries, BBC could renew it but they haven't said whether they will or not yet. There's certainly more story to tell if they choose to do so as the book series it's based on has 7 more books they haven't adapted.

Tom Cruise will dedicate his life to fight unseen horrors and ancient curses from evil beings only he believes to exist, and also star in The Mummy

I once thought I spotted James Gilmore in the woods, but it turned out to be just a guy in a Lindsey Graham suit

Agreed, which is why I'm not terribly optimistic.

Out of all the movies that could be remade, at least I could see a case for this one- the original isn't actually that good, and there's a lot more to explore with the premise that they could do. It'll probably still be terrible though.

I will say that for all of Lucas' faults the fact that he's donated more to charity than the GDP of some small countries gives him a lifetime pass as a person for me.
