Not trying to change it, its just a bit bizarre to me. Or that you even need to find her "charming" to care. She is a nuanced character who is a good person, cares for her family, tries to the right thing, etc etc.

That would be like watching a random episode of BB or BE. You have no context or any idea what any of those scenes mean outside of… oh hey some firm is breaking up. That's not being open minded at all.
