Jesus, what's with the haters getting up early and taking over this board? This is one of the best bands of the last 20 years. Reliably good to great records and a live show that varies hugely (and entertainingly) from tour to tour.

I'm kinda okay with the "gratuitous re-recordings of their own classics in released order to secure their publishing and licensing rights" thing. Didn't artists used to re-record their songs all the time? I love when Lloyd Price's "Stagger Lee" comes on shuffle and I'm genuinely unsure which, slightly different

Steven Davis' "Old Gods Almost Dead" from about ten years back is a pretty reliable, not-overly-fawning biography of the whole band (Brian Jones, Ian Stuart and Andrew Loog Oldham included).
