Uh…two things? No wait! …OF COCK! No wait! …um…AV Club

There goes the entire silent first industry

It's almost as if the article explicitly made all of the points you're raising as criticisms of it. Like, you know, when the author said she still likes Buffy and thinks it was a good show. But that would require reading the article, which I guess is too much of a nitpick for you.

While not the most prolific of commentators, I've been hanging around here and commenting since…I dunno. Like, 2005ish? Way too damn long is the point. I've no idea what the Kinjapocolypse holds for us all (and hopefully all of our hand-wringing is for naught), but if this is how it all ends, it was a hell of a ride.

And one of the comments looked at me

We live in such a bizarre upside-down world that I'm anticipating being accused of being an anti-semite for opposing Nazis any day now.

Not people they disagree with, people who are advocating for literal genocide. This is not a case of Godwin's Law where people are using hyperbole when referring to people whose arguments they don't like, these are actual Nazis. We've seen what Nazis do. I would like that to not happen again, but that's just my Jewish

Right, and Bernie fans are telling the centrists to stop being assholes and get on board with, for example, the vast majority of our nation that wants single-payer healthcare. But when we do it, it's purity politics. When you do it, it's…uh…reason?

Because we tried that in the 1930s and it didn't turn out very well. For more information, tune into the History Channel at literally any time of day.

Yeah, remember how in WWII we used violence against Nazis, and instead of toppling the Third Reich and stopping a genocide, it just made the Nazis more powerful?

A less generous reading is that she pretty regularly discusses politics and makes political statements, but then when she says something shitty, she just throws up her hands and pulls the old "I'm just a comedian!" bit. If you're going to get political in your humor, as Fey very often does, you're going to get

I love this kind of comment: "Purity politics are bad! That's why we should exclude the people whose politics are impure!"

Yeah, these statues erected without a vote at the height of Jim Crow specifically for the purpose of terrifying Black people should only be taken down after careful deliberation! You know, because…democracy?

No snark, this is pretty great. It's insane that there is still stigma around therapy and anything that helps to remove that is great. Thumbs up, Mr. Z.

While the anti-Nazi sentiment is well and good, I really dislike how much historical revisionism is wrapped up in so many of these proclamations. "Hatred and bigotry" are founding values of America. We really shouldn't act as aid violent racism is some crazy new aberration

The problem is there is no "male end of the spectrum" as gender is a social construction and not a real thing. Something has to be real for it to have genetic effects.

    Would that I could, sir

Finally! News about Jon Oliver's sassy briefs, fulfilling a very specific kink niche.

It would have been the most meta joke ever if all of these questions had been answered by a sex worker and credited to Dan Savage.
