    It has been quite cathartic listening to this song on repeat. Sometimes the best protest anthem is the most direct, after all.

    This sounds like a great idea! They should have the show on every day, and cover current news topics in a humorous way. They could call it something simple like "The Show That Happens Daily."

    The real tragedy is the loss of our collective innocence.

    Yeah, it's like how people cheered at Jews killing Nazis, but were upset by Nazis killing Jews. Everyone experiences the world in exactly the same way, so there's no need to take into account things like politics, context, or widely-available and obvious facts.

    Translation: I'm a comfy white guy!

    Yeah, it's like insisting on calling it "Faux News." Even though I agree with you, I instantly dismiss anyone who uses it because a) it's not nearly as clever as the speaker thinks it is, and b) just makes you sound like a fucking child.

    And they're both the comedy equivalent of Christian music — the only person who could ever sit through more than a few seconds of their routine is a person who already completely agrees with them on every point. They're not there to make comedy, they're there to let you feel smugly self-satisfied.
