Is it just me, or has Cruise gotten work done? His face looks different.

I've been dragged to every single Fast & Furious movie (and by different groups of friends over the years). The only ones I remember enjoying are the original and Fast Five. I was pretty surprised by Fast Five, actually. I'd see it again.

Why even write this? The headline is a perfect review.

Catcher in the Rye is a pretty easy read though-probably the easiest of any canon book you read in high school. The thing with Catcher is that it's dated, but in mostly unimportant ways-the inner life of Holden is pretty timeless, I think. Maybe less so in the age of social media I guess. Can you imagine Holden in the

That theory is…not at all proven, since this book is not really a sequel but an early draft of TKAM. The first draft of Blood Meridian didn't even have The Judge! And McCarthy is hardly a hack writer. Unless you're Jack Kerouac, writing is an iterative process, and a weak first draft means next to nothing if you're

Nah man, the Grapes book is better.

Even if you don't mind being tied down, those are some big shoes to fill.

Disarm is one of my favorite songs in spite of how much I dislike Corgan's singing on it. Replace the vocal track on that one with a better singer and it would be sublime.

Corgan looks like a cross between James Carville and one of my close friend's ultra conservative father. I could never listen to the Smashing Pumpkins after I saw a photo of Corgan.

I am suspicious of "fans" of the more successful teams. Although not the Cardinals (yet). I've always thought that Yankees fans were cowards for this reason.

A lot of liberals even fell for the freedom hatin bullshit hook line and sinker. I remember even Tim Robbins mumbling something about that at a rally. Although he's never struck me as the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Speaking of mental illness, I am so sick and fucking tired of people trying to pathologize everything. People who have no qualifications to make a diagnosis saying that someone is "obviously" mentally ill.

Is the show really that dark? I find that hard to believe.

As a book reader, I think Game of Thrones was great, and more recently good but not great (but still better than most dramas). I think the Benioff and Weiss suffered the same unavoidable bloat and plot drift after the end of ASOS. They've stumbled a lot more the past couple seasons than they did the first two (which I

Well, it's hard to say that the plot doesn't *ultimately* lead to anything when there are still two seasons left.

Eh, comedy isn't a monolith any more than drama is, and dramatic elements don't make them any less comedies (although the drama-comedy dichotomy is often silly). I think the infusion of what we think of as dramatic elements actually strengthen the shows as comedies. 30 Rock is one of my favorite comedies of all time,

Don't remind me

But I'm an it ain't over till it's over person. I wouldn't concede until my opponent got to 270, no matter wha.

Alec Baldwin! Yeah I can see that. I always think he's Alan Thicke for a few seconds whenever I see him onscreen.

267 is within spitting distance of a win, but I wouldn't concede until 270 votes were called for me opponent. I get that you don't want to be a sore loser, but waiting for 270 ain't being sore.
