Man, that really made me tear up, because I came to the same realizations myself.

Yeah, I think what Betty meant was that Henry would be too emotionally devastated to be of much use with the final arrangements, and that Sally would have to be the adult for an indeterminate but probably short period after her death. I didn't take it to mean that Henry would abandon the kids.

I would think that calculus has to change a little, even for a selfish guy like Don. Even if he ran away, his children still at least had one living parent to take care of them, and he can send them money (fucked up, but I bet that was part of his subconscious rationalization). There's no way for him to rationalize

That's a good point. I really don't know what they're going to do with Don, even after watching this episode. Joan's arc seems pretty done, Betty's as well, as does Pete's. I don't know if there's much else to be done about Roger-I thought that Harry Crane sneering at him, combined with his inability to protect Joan,

I think Don has yet to be tested in this way. Yeah, he's got a lot of issues. He's very selfish, he's a serial philanderer, and he's a bit of a sexist in that he sees no issue with letting Betty do 99% of the parenting of their children (maybe not as bad as the average man of his time, but no feminist either). I don't

He seemed to be having some sort of road to Damascus moment. I don't know where exactly he goes from here though. I think he was a mostly absent father because of his own personality flaws, but also because he's a product of his time. He feels no guilt about leaving the vast majority of the parenting on the shoulders

I saw a lot of my mother in Betty-she was very emotionally closed off (which probably rubbed off on me, or it's genetic, or both) and holds grudges-I don't hate my mother, but she is very much like Nixon-she is defined by her resentments and grudges and insecurities-it's the irreducible core of her personality I think.

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

It was a great medium. I'm glad I'm not being raised today.

Sure enough, I see they have an upcoming show in…Baltimore.

I think they screwed the pooch on the format. Too many questions, too much talking. I wish they had spent more time in the video games.

Shit, I remember back in the day when I watched Nick all day, I used to catch that at the asscrack of dawn. Not intentionally, it was just that show I never quite knew the name of that was kind of cool.

Were Double Dare and WWYD Nickelodeon, or did they just air the reruns? Because Marc Summers was my jam.

I think she went over the top with her character's narcissism. I wish she had dialed it back a bit. You can have complex characters and still make great comedy.

I love the shit out of Chris Messina, but there's something about the way Danny's written that I don't like.

Which makes sense, given Weiner's pedigree. Honestly, there's no excuse for him to fuck up the ending of his show-he worked for the master himself, David Chase. That last half season, 6B, was so goddamned good.

And Harry Hamlin aka Jim Cutler was also on LA Law…it's all connected…jet beams can't melt steel fuel!!1

To be pedantic, I believe it's "Whiner" and not "Weener."

I have a 4 year old MacBook Pro that I like. It's one of the models I can open up myself and replace shit in. I think newer models you can't upgrade the RAM yourself anymore-fuck that. I also put an SSD in this puppy last year and it flies. I'm running this thing into the ground, and after that, I don't know what I'm

But she introduced Tom Cruise to it when they were still married. I'm sure they would've found a way to reach Tom Cruise without her, but still.
