SPOILERS

Good god Christina Ricci just got hotter…how is that possible.

Fuck that. I love David Cross, but I watched Mr. Show back in the day and always thought Bob was funnier.

I've heard some scary things about the Fruit of Islam. Don't know how much is legitimate and how much is just racism.

Yeah, I just wanted to add to my original point, because I'm not just trying to be a frat bro blindly defending idiotic tweets.

These are mostly stupid, old jokes that Noah repackaged, which is a far greater crime.

David Miscavige looks like a weird combination of this guy and Tim from Justified. I don't know how I feel about that.

"the staff had to Kennedy me out through the kitchen . . ."
Did someone emerge from behind an ice machine to murder him? Because otherwise, not a great analogy.

Ted's a great character, I really started liking him after they finally gave him some depth in season six. I wish he hadn't been sort of shoved to the side the first half of season seven, hopefully we see more.

I've seen The Fall, and I love it.

This is a good point. Duchovny is pretty charming-but I don't know how much of that is just natural versus acting.

"I think we'd all agree that drug trafficking and threatening the family business is a bit much"

It's a shame because I loved Wilmore during his correspondent days. I think he's still finding his voice. Not everyone can be brilliant from Day 1 like Stephen Colbert. He was very much sui generis. Even the venerable Jon Stewart (and Conan, and most hosts) took a while to really find themselves.

I agree with whoever said on here years ago that Brad Pitt is a character actor in a leading man's body. Duchovny is maybe a bit part level actor in a leading man's body.

I'm not sure I could watch Bloodline without Mendelsohn. He's not the only good actor, but he is riveting. There would be a huge vacuum of interestingness if he were killed off. Spacek and Chandler (and Cardellini) are great, but for my money I don't think their characters are interesting enough to carry the show.

"But they shouldn't be blamed as adults for protecting their father when they were little kids. Only John was even a teenager, and it seems like would be impossible at any age to choose one family member over the other. Yeah obviously physical violence against kids is terrible but can you blame them for excusing it

I think you make good points, but in your last paragraph you…I don't want to say trivialize Danny's experience, but you definitely undersell it.

I completely agree. Danny was the oldest, what could he expect his younger brothers to have done *at the time*?

I don't think it muddies the waters at all, actually. I think it polarizes the sides a little too much-I can't really side with Danny anymore after they went full retard with him. I think putting Danny a little too much over the top makes the show less complex. Because, the family really was awful to him, and he's

Yeah, I've said before that I really wish they hadn't gone full retard with Danny. Because the family really was shitty to him, and Danny really has been a bit of a fuckup-so you could sympathize with both sides. But they tipped the scales a little too far in the direction of Danny being borderline moustache-twirling.
