It really depends on what kind of "neuroscience" it is, I mean nevrophysiology is a very competative and highly regarded field that just won a Noble price. Not sure what she has done, though.

She is. Not vaccinating your kids is one of the most selfish things a parent can do, putting both your own kids and all other kids they come into contact with in danger, including kids too young to be vaccinated.
Which is one of the reasons I have a hard time taking whatever the DSMIV says seriously. It once included fun stuff like hysteria and homosexuality, so it can be a little hard to take itseriously when it defines other "mental illnesses".
I am with you, the writers are just not that good at "drama".
Hey, there are some nice ones in the Bible too, if you want to.
Future Stock is on my top 3 of episodes, endlessly quoteable. "Blank, blank!" and "and a glass of all your water" can be used in so many situations.
One can only hope. I am spiteful that way.
It did not have to happen. Not every TV storyline needs to be action, violence and sex. But increasingly, the show runners of GoT seem to think they do.
It is a combination of many things, what infuriates me is how the writers have really stood on their heads to make this scene happen, I find the whole storyline unnecessary hack work.
It has been shown. Time and time and time and time again, in this show and others. There was no need to force this narrative on us, it was a choice made in the writers room.
Rape and abuse stories can be powerful and well written, but this was not one of those instances. It was unneccessary, a derailment of Sansa's…
Very true. It is not the show for me. Love the books, the show is becoming hack work by degrees, this is just the last example.
Season 4 mangled up the Sansa/Littlefinger storyline, and they continued the white washing of Tyrion as a character. I felt the last episode of season 4 was a very poor effort. Though I did like a lot of the episodes up to nr.8, all in all I felt they failed the source material (which I have not felt before).
Well, if you can't compare it with the books, then the story is just lazy writing, rape as a motivating factor, bla bla bla. Done to death, and not interesting, not to mention the way it is played out and its placement in the episode makes it clear that there is a titillation element to it as well. Why would I watch…
So, the Boltons needed to rape her for her to get agency? Not sure how that follows. The rape has no impact on Sansa as a character, she already hated the Boltons and wanted revenge. It is clearly included mainly to motivate Theon, a character that is much less interesting than Sansa, so that he can break his mental…
Your understanding of what consitutes a story is clearly lacking, perhaps it needed some more rape scenes, or a good fight? You do insist on defending the inclusion of those scenes an awful lot, as if being forcfully married and then raped somehow constuties a great narrative for Sansa, much better than being involved…
No. That the writers easily removed Tyrion's crime to make him look good, but chose to twist and turn the storyline to include the rape of Sansa, which does not happen in the book at all.
Why, if the false Arya storyline is not in the series and nor the character of Jeyne Pool (which I actually like for its understated implications), does the writers feel the need to include this storyline at all? It is not necessary for the "plot", such as it is, only service the need of a tertiary character (Theon).…
She has less agency in this storyline. Yay, she is married then raped. Fun with agency.
Tyrion has been completely whitewashed in the show, as has (partly) Arya. Arya has lost at least 2, if not 3 of her most iconic scenes during season 3 and 4, and her meeting Jaquen again is absurd. I guess they can still salvage the House of Black and White, I guess someone will tell me how that went.
Indeed he does. If they were going to include a rape scene, that one should have been it, since it at least has something of a point to it. The point being that Tyrion is an asshole. Which the show has been avoiding all along.
