I believe Avijde Lindquist made based the title on a Morrissey song.
Let the right one in

Actually, the BBC show loses the thread completely in the second season, while the American show is consistently good in the second and third season. In fact, I routinely use it as an example of a show that is better in the American remake.
Wait, I had something for this….
But these are artificial divides that has no real value. Clarke is willing, like Lexa, to do anything to save "her people", the only difference is who they consider "their people". Clarke might, or might not, have considered the Grounders among the people that have more value than other human beings to her, but Lexa…
Why are everyone so fixated on the suit? It looks ridicolous, and it would be incredibly impractical to fight in, not to mention uncomfortable. It has itty bitty horns, for crying out loud.
The main problem with binge watching is the lack of discussion about the series after each episode, but on the other hand it becomes much easier to see the overall stories and plotlines when when binging happens. Many TV-shows are actually better when viewed in groups of episodes instead of one at a time (including…
He also has "Arms" (guns) in his arms. Awesome.
But he doesn't just fist!
There is also a certain kind of critic that will be needlessly pedantic to avoid discussing real problems in media. The trope, strictly defined, is based on one issue of Green Lantern where he finds his girlfriend in a refrigerator after her being killed of-screen for no reason other than to motivate him. By a strict…
Some of us (like me) will never forgive the show for killing Sara just to make Laurel the Canary in a spectacular mix of horrible tropes (including both Bury Your Gays and Women in Refigirators, two of the worst plot points in existence).
I might have been living in denial during season 2, but Sara was just a much…
Given the precendense of the US overthrowing democratically elected governments in South America, I would require some pretty strong evidence/supporting statements before I belived that the US was NOT working to destabilze me, if I was the president of an SA democracy.
Really? The ones I have sampled seem to be full of "voice-over" narration describing what is happening or recapping earlier issues, while the plot lines are filled with old-fashioned ideas, sexist mores and recycled plots that seems stuck in the past. Not that I did not enjoy it, but not exactly quality writing for…
I watched this after quitting the show when they fridged Sara for Laurel and Oliver's "character development", since I though synopsis sounded interesting……I am not impressed, to put it mildly.
I am not sure what you mean? Are you implying that people learn a universal life lesson in their late teens, and that that lesson is that they should live their life in pursuit of their dreams and that their success or failure are only affected by their own hard work? Because I assure you this is not the case. Not…
Then I am sure you can point us in the direction of rigerous scientific studies of psychic effects or occult phenomena that stands up to peer review and repeated testing, with strong positive and negative controls. I am always interested in well written research papers with thorough methodology that includes reasoned…
Likely a lot? By what basis? Do you have any evidence beyond one person being a comedian, thus making his every statement a joke?
Your dad, the only "good" man in Sodom, just send you and your sister out to be raped by an angry mob. Later, your God will turn your mother into a pillar of salt mostly for being curious (and a woman). Luckily you have Nationwide….no, it is acutally really shitty all around, your God is an asshole.
Urrk, True Detective will be no.1 won't it? I had hoped that the AV Club, like some other critics (Feinberg and Sepinwall for instance), would see that after the shine had faded it is a really mediocre non-sensical show. Sure, the acting is wonderful, but the writing is trite. And the ending was a caricature.
Yes it is good that we have an old white guy to explain to us that we need old white guys to explain the news. Otherwise, how would we know what is true?
Well, not when it is said in a condescending way that is implying that we need a great white man to save us all and explain the world to us. Then it is just annoying and bad writing to boot.
