"Cause you gotta keep the Diddy way down in the hole"
Got a couple listens in and digging the album so far, feeling around a B+ from me. Anyone know why Clams Casino isn't on it, though? He confirmed production on the album a while back but was left off the final product.
So happy to hear it's finally done. I pre-ordered the album in September 2013. Looking forward to their tour to support the album.
The Predatory Wasp of the Palisades is my pick. Majesty Snowbird is a close second and would take first if we ever got a proper studio version released.
Survivor is my favorite Palahniuk novel also. Wiki says the movie is currently in development but I haven't heard any news about it in a while.
There's also the fact that the camera continually switches from shots of people entering the diner from Tony's perspective to Tony's reaction. We see Carmela enter, cut to Tony's reaction. We see Anthony Jr. enter behind a scowling man, cut to Tony's reaction. Meadow runs up to the diner, we hear the bell above the…
I loved Trompe le Monde but have to agree with the sentiment here. This was 10x better than anything on Indie Cindy.
"Breaking Bad has the potential to be one of the most compelling drama series on cable…"
While festivals are definitely getting over-saturated it's something I've appreciated. I live in Philadelphia and 5 years ago my only option was taking off work and driving 12 hours to Bonnaroo. Now I've got Firefly in DE, Governor's Ball in NY and Made in America right in Philly to choose from.
Had a major character death in Boardwalk Empire spoiled for me the day after it aired in the first line of a completely unrelated AVClub article. Thanks O'Neal!
I was kind of disappointed as well. Not a huge fan of Andro Queen or Another Toe but Indie Cindy and What Goes Boom sound like classic Pixies to me. Either way, that Pitchfork review is ridiculous, the reviewer gets really personal and does nothing but rate in terms of how he thinks it should sound compared to their…
Funny, I saw them open for Clap Your Hands Say Yeah! at the TLA in Philadelphia and they ended up putting on a much better show. Got into their back catalogue since then, great band.
Ok, I understand it for the airbag chair gag, but they did they really need CG for Seth Rogen getting hit in the face with a ball?
Yeah, that was perfect. I saw a screening of the Cornetto Trilogy back-to-back-to-back so pretty much everyone there got the reference. I was wondering how it would go over in a regular showing.
Is that Jon Brion in the very beginning of the trailer? Sounds similar to the Eternal Sunshine soundtrack to me.
Kyle, any further thoughts on the CHVRCHES album? I've been really into them since The Mother We Share was released and their set at Firefly Music Festival only increased my anticipation of a full album.
Yeah, I know what you mean. Do we really need Occupy Wall Street and Anonymous songs? I cringed when I heard him sing the "We are legion" line. It sounds like something a 14-year-old would write after discovering Desaparecidos and 4Chan in the same week.
