I'm in the same spot. I thought the first few episodes nailed the tone they were going for but didn't have a whole lot to say. These last couple are starting to turn into a show that I actually enjoy watching. The characters are developing into real people that are flawed rather than just whiny 20 somethings.

I'm glad that America wised up enough to stop watching this show but I'm going to be sad when I can't like "Fuck you, The Killing" every week.

This seems pretty accurate. I know that personally the point where I couldn't take their bullshit centrist positions anymore was the country music vs. rock music episode that was a horribly contrived red state vs. blue state metaphor.

I could never get into these guys even though early Low records are some of my favorites. I'll have to give frigid stars another listen soon.

Yeah, you'll probably like this one a lot. It's kind of a mix between No Flashlight and Wind's Poem in a lot of ways. It's still atmospheric like Wind's Poem but there is more of the fragility of No Flashlight. He certainly put his new studio to use on this one.

@Sunspear:disqus , no I know who she is. I was saying that she is the only person who could be delusional enough to write what you just wrote. I understand if people have different opinions of the show and I'll gladly admit that I can't judge this season cause I haven't watched any of the episodes, but to say that…

The show clearly needed something to shake it up…I'm optimistic thanks to their work on King of the Hill but I doubt I'll be tuning in unless I hear that the show has made a turn for the better.

I have tons of problems with Californication but I've never really questioned Hank's writing ability. They really don't read his stuff very often either.
