I was a big Ralph Bakshi fan, but Cool World made retroactively examine and downgrade all his previous films, and even kept me from properly enjoying Miller's Crossing for years just because of Gabriel Byrne.

That definitely seems to fit what we know about Max more than suddenly revealing that he's gay.

I've been a little curious, but not yet brave enough to type "puberty" into Google and see what actually comes up.

I think some props need to be given to Peter Krause for directing this episode.  The way that Max was shot, with lots of close frames of his completely blank face, and seemingly some kind of fish-eye thing that distorted the background should have been wrong, but somehow it worked.

At least slaves have a commodified worth.  You are expecting to house, feed, clothe and give basic health care to slaves.  Only the owner is allowed to fuck with slaves, at the risk of damaging his investment.

Arkham Horror sounds awesome, but the only people I can think of who would play it with me are my Call of Cthulhu group, and on the exceedingly rare occasions we can actually get everyone together, we need to play Call of Cthulhu.

I seem to recall that I quite enjoyed the first two thirds of the movie, and then kinda fell asleep towards the end.

I'm a huge Jose Chung fan.  Probably not just my favourite X-Files episode, but one of my favourite TV episodes of all time.
