See, now THAT is a more reasonable assumption.

I didn't realize Kyle had a history of murdering Americans because they criticized him.
Why does "handle" necessarily have to mean "murder?"
One thing that has interested me about this thread is that you can tell who has an ear and who doesn't. (There's also been a lot of misguided commentary re: intellectual property law, but that's a different topic.)
And aspirin, acetaminophen, and ibuprofen have done far more for the common good than all the works of Welles, McCartney, and Steinbeck (and pretty much every other artist ever) combined, so I'm not sure what your point is. Also, if you believe these works of art are so monumental, why are you arguing for reduced…
Right, right…sandy vaginas and so forth. Good one.

Some of them, yeah definitely.
Because we all have access to the evidence - the songs themselves - we can all reasonably conclude that the simplest explanation is the most accurate one in this instance.
I'm saying exactly what I said the first time. The matter has been resolved in favor of Petty/Lynne.
Performance fees, fees for private instruction, commissions from rich people. That's how those guys usually got paid.
Petty/Lynne will receive far more in royalties over time than Smith would have spent litigating. No, what actually happened here is that Smith didn't want to spend money litigating only to lose anyway on the merits of the case. He cut his losses and all parties move on.
With all due respect, you can't checkmate someone when you're wrong. After all, we're talking here about a case study that has already been resolved in opposition to your side of the argument.
one thing led to another, and we ended up upvoting each other all night long
I'm starting to suspect there's a chance I may have been raped by Bill Cosby at some point.
"…you have some of the letters in OBAMA!"
I see. I'll have to check it out later.
