I think my favorites have been those with multiple guests, like the Gospel authors and the Brothers Grimm. Those episodes have more of the improv playfulness that I love, whereas the weakest episodes can just sound like a Wikipedia recitation.

You can just jump in anywhere, but some of the dynamics take a while to understand.
