Well I'd not want to vote for the Democrats or Republicans. I'd say they're definitely both wrong. One is clearly worse than the other, that is pretty obvious and the answer is certainly not in the middle ground.

Thee are only two sides because each seat is determined by who gets the most votes. This means that if there's a candidate you actually agree with but isn't expected to do well you'll probably just vote for the least worst of the 2 major parties for fear of the worse party winning.
