I'm overjoyed about Collins Key, Forte (they're good, and they're nothing you could find on other singing shows, unlike JR and Queen Mousy Whiny White Girl), and Kenichi (though his Top 12 act had me worried), OK with Taylor Williamson (he's most funny when he's just riffing after his act—I really hope his finals

Wow…honestly, if you'd asked me three hours ago, I would've sworn HOMR was in the season 9-10-11 range somewhere.  I think I trailed off watching first-run episodes somewhere in season 13/14, so I can't really speak to the Bart & Lisa episode you mentioned, but yes, HOMR was definitely classic era-level quality.

The ghost of Richard Nixon!

Well, I think I inadvertently found a way to get us back up the "Most Commented" list…

Looks like I've passed Hank Williams Sr., and am 33 days away from being older than Andy Gibb was when he died.

Hello.

And, what the hey, if it counts, I'll call with new series example "The Sound of Drums" to "Last of the Time Lords".  (Or, personally, "Gridlock" to "Daleks in Manhattan".)

Oh, God, the accents in Mercy.  *shudder* Don't forget (or, more appropriately, do) about the Tennant two-parter with the Daleks in Manhattan.

Ah, crap, I just thought of a great "controversial" episode for the roundtable (that would never have gotten any votes anyway, but still): The Dick Van Dyke Show season 3 episode 1 ("That's My Boy??").  There'd be a bit to talk about—changing norms, audience reactions vs. network concerns, controversies that tuen out

Every time I see Howard Morris in something like this, it always prompts me t check out his other work that I keep forgetting about, and I get a little sadder that most people only know him as human caricature Ernest T. Bass.

I'm going to miss these recaps, again.  I hope they'll be back soon, but…well…
Anyway, let's start it now: come back, Larry Sanders!

Wait…does that make the porn version format Ain't That This Ain't Ain't Them Bodies Saints XXX?

29 for a little over a month more.

1. After.  About fourteen hours after, right before bed.
2. Cereal, before milk, but after peanut butter.
3. Hair first, legs last.
4. Alison, mostly for range.
5. Front.

So, a recent rewatch of season 1 of Friday Night Lights got me thinking about amazingly strong casts that have one…less amazing component sticking out like a sore thumb against the rest of the greatness, so open question:

You're In The Picture, episode 2 (or both episodes)—the game show so bad, host Jackie Gleason spent half an hour apologizing for it instead of having a second episode.

Two thoughts upon seeing Dirty Dancing at the theater today: 1) it's still the most romantic movie about an adulterous womanizing man-whore I've ever seen, and 2) having said that, dayum, 1987 Patrick Swayze would be enough to make me look twice, so well done, casting people.

One more huzzah for the pile.  Thanks, so much for the reviews—not only SN, but everything.  I really was everything a review should be, looking at the word: a much better/deeper examination of what worked and what didn't work, that an initial viewing might have overlooked.  For viewing and reviewing and sharing it

Sideways Scene was one of the major highlights from their short-lived improv-type show hosted by Fred Willard a while back (Trust Us With Your Life, I think)—I was really happy to see it had been carried over to Nu-Whose.

Oh, they took trips—I think they went to Disney World for their Music In The Parks event at least twice during my four years in HS, and…somewhere else of similar provenance the other two years.  And they had new band uniforms every year, specifically themed to whatever their show was.  (The one I remember the clearest
