Methinks that B- is a result of hipster backlash. It's okay to like a band that other people like, Mr. Greenwald. They really are as good as the hype.

I had forgotten about his first heart attack, so I eagerly clicked the link thinking one of the Gallagher brothers had had a heart attack from their massive collective cocaine use in the 90s.

Every great artist has to have a White Album — an at-times brilliant, but mostly bloated, incoherent mess — and The New Danger was that album for Mos Def. There is just enough greatness in that album that I'll never get rid of it, but there's enough WTF moments for me to only want to listen to it once or twice a year.

Having listened to it, I would agree with Alcopheliac's assumption, but if 1372 Overton Park is an excellent album and Women & Work is more of the same, why wouldn't it, too, not be excellent?

I came here specifically looking for Pancakes and Sausage on a Stick. I mean, a breakfast corndog? Doesn't get much more mutant than that.

I automatically read that last sentence to myself in the voice of Tobias Funke. Now, you probably will, too.

Yeah, I thought the explanation above was way too silly for anyone to take seriously. Judging by the comments, I definitely miscalculated.

So, wait, we can't joke about domestic abuse around here? Dammit, somebody needs to send me the AV Club commenter manual.

Say what you want about Chris Brown, but I believe that Rhianna is into getting smacked around. A few months after all this happened, she does a Rolling Stone interview in which it becomes painfully obvious that she has daddy issues and likes getting roughed up a little bit. This was also around the time her S&M video

I'm usually a fan of bluegrass and its related genres, but I found this record to be pretty boring. Yes, the band is musically accomplished, but nothing hooked me.

You shut your face. CAKE IS A TREASURE!

We need to bring former ESPN analyst/current Senate candidate Craig James. I hear he's an expert on these sorts of things.

I was really hoping this was an article about the band Stretch Armstrong. My 17-year old hopes are dashed once more.

I am predicting 0 reasonable discussions coming from this post.

The idea of Silverstein covering "Runaway" got me interested enough to listen to the song, and it's actually pretty good, except for Pusha T's verse in the middle. I don't know if that speaks to how well-composed the song is, or if it was meant to be performed by a Canadian screamo band past its prime, but the cover

Pitchfork also preemptively gave Drake's video about the Cash Money Millionaires joining Degrassi High's glee club an 8.6.

On the twelfth day of Dawesmas my true Hyden gave to me, twelve Polaroids, eleven vintage vinyls, ten large-framed glasses, nine tight plaid shirts, eight trucker caps, seven wallet chains, six Pabst Blue Ribbons, fiiiiive fixiiie wheeeels, four cardigans, three woolen scarves, two indie beards, and that sweet Laurel

Cool story, bro.

You receive 9 points for your comment. Then, you get 10 points taken away unless you can hit the third post from the driveway without me stealing your flag.

For some reason, every time I see the rare F, it makes me want to listen to the album much more than, say, a B. I guess it's the same reaction of trying to not look at a car wreck.
