Since when is Pick A Bale of Cotton racist?  Surely there are more apt examples of racist songs.  Hell, Jimmy Crack Corn is more racist.  I had always assumed Pick A Bale of Cotton, though it may have its roots in slavery, was adapted to be more of a general work/farming song.
