This cannot be said enough. Fuck you, 2016.

30 Rock Alda

I once had a dream that I received oral sex from Alan Alda. It's not exactly sticking to the topic, but there you go.

Trapper John/11. Never forget.

Good God, YES!

It's not only what was being asked but how. There's no time for handholding. There's no histrionics. It's about getting the info as it's needed (sometimes several times) and getting the patient stable ASAP.

I've been in both positions. And yes, it was a bit flashback-y. Medical shows take note, THAT'S how you do it.

Success isn't only measured by length of run. Plus, it's much easier to make a successful spin-off of a sitcom. it's been done many times. (The Jefferson, All In The Family, The Facts Of Life, etc).

That Emer Dept POV was AMAZING. i've had severe asthma since i was a kid, so I've been rushed into the ED many times and that's exactly what it's like.

America just puts profit ahead of everything. So while there are definitely some dumbfucks, some no-nothings, and some too-busy-to-cares here, the top layer is just diabolical assholes who want to get theirs.

And have Sam Waterston play the judge.

Little Afro puffs! :)

"The white privilege and the gross materialism. The materialism and commercialism and brand slavery was so gross." The ENTIRE run of SATC along with movies. Fuck that show.

Always.

In mainstream entertainment, male nudity is usually for realism, not titillation. There's nothing wrong with that dude, but *shrug*.

With Vinyl, I think the complaint is more that it's yet another lead character of a prestige drama who a middle aged white man who is a misunderstood genius who mistreats those closest too him. It's been done and done better. (Sopranos, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Deadwood and so on.)

Prestige TV is very important in part due it's influence. For example, nearly every period show on TV right now owes a debt to Mad Men. Some of them are good shows they might not have been made at all unless AMC testing the waters and proved that a significant audience would want to watch some a show set decades in

Vinyl is certainly another HBO attempt at a Prestige Drama. Pedigree production team, very big budget, etc. Unfortunately, the writing seems to be all over the place.

The lead of The Wire is McNulty.

He's definitely on my list. I imagine he would be athletic yet tender.
