That's a very professional setting. Your co-worker is either an idiot or thinks he's in an episode of The Office.

Exactly. Most writers rooms are White and male therefore that's what most of TV's POV is even if it makes little to no sense. This is especially true of prestige TV. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think there's been a "Prestige Television" show (i.e., Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Sopranos, etc.) with a non White lead

Tailoring, tailoring, tailoring. A suit does make a man look more put together, provided it's well tailored. And you can do that even with a hand-me-down. Hell, even having your mom take it in a little is better than nothing.

I'll bet he'll pop in from time to time. I saw them last in Red Bank. They were great. They're just as they are in the series. Dean, quiet and thoughtful with the occasional one-liner. Jerry, more animated, but just as earnest. They urged the audience to get involved in any way they can in social justice.

I lost it when he was cradling her like a baby. So fantastic. I hope to God they become an item for a bit. No offense to murse-carrying Lincoln.

For me, it wasn't the sex but the way it was offered. "If you get me out of here, you can do me in the asshole." And then her flipping over right as the credits start. It was a little off putting.

We will never stop doing "phrasing".

I know. It's gross.

With Angela Basset in the role, Storm would have had her own series. She's a total badass.

Fuck you, 2016. Fuck right off.

Your mistake was assuming we had zeal of any kind.

Right? In 2016, the rule of threes now means a celebrity death every three hours.

Cucumber water, man. Cucumber water.

Do Dat Do Dat Do Do Do Dat Dat, Internet.

Lead vs supporting is often a strategic move. For example, Aaron Paul. He was really a co-lead in the later seasons of BB but if submitted that way he'd be competing against Cranston and several other major contenders.

Oh how I wish there could be an interdimensional cross-over ep of HOC and Scandal. That would be hilarious..

Susan Ross 2016

I've watched an embarrassing amount of hours of TV. As a minority, you always look for images of yourself, unfortunately. So after hundreds of reiterations of a "type", you know what it looks like. I realize the character's appeared before, but with such a female focused episode, her appearance stuck out more.

Government offices are often staffed by minority women, but the pursed lips and drawn out "Mmm Hmms" are much more common on TV than they are in real life.

Almost perfect episode. I was a little disappointed in the "sassy Black lady" clerk. Very lazy. I expect better from Gilligan and Gould.
