"Hey AV Club, you're doing pretty good. Can you promote this Clickhole site that nobody wants to acknowledge because it wasn't a very good idea? Thanks!"
My point here is that good satire appears to be real, true life silliness and/or stupidity. With that said, usually there is some sort of inkling given by the creator that, hey, I'm actually trying to effect change. I don't find that anywhere in the clip, nor does the creator act like it's satire. It's more of a "woah…
Han was a Jedi all along, here he is as a ghost with Hayden Christensen and Obi-Wan and Yoda and Tupac!
I said, "Read the dude's twitter. The over the top thing isn't some sort of satirical act."
Yes, there *could be* overlap between satire and parody. There doesn't need to be. Spaceballs isn't satire. Austin Powers isn't satire. Epic Movie isn't satire. They're all parody, though.
How is Grindhouse satire, and how do you define it? I think my definition is very accurate.

I haven't seen it in a while, but how is Grindhouse a satire? It's based on the double features that Rodriguez and Tarantino loved.
What other films/shows/books/anything [poorly] satirize decades old material?
Yeah, and apparently morphing consists of throwing on a bulletproof helmet and beating the shit out of people now.
Yeah, if anything needed a satirical point of view, it's a 20+ year old children's show.
Sorry, that Power Rangers thing sucked. Yeah, I realize the original show sucked, or was at least ridiculous and pitifully cheap. Still, it had some originality.
What?! Oh geez, next you'll be telling me the girls from 16 and pregnant aren't really pregnant!
"(Hint: Annie, Juno, and Ted aren’t on the list)."
One time I had a Troll 2 birthday party… so… yeah.
Fuck you, Rick Berman!
Thanks for allowing me to get a boner without fear again.
Troll 2
I was going to make a joke about the robot girl, but I don't want to get put in jail.
