I had to go back to make sure he didn't call the first babysitter a "crazy old broad."

Yes - While I loved the original Ducktales, we were all watching He-Man and Transformers years before, which made original after-school cartoon TV a thing. Add on Heathcliff, Thundercats, and a few others that got 65 episodes and there was quite a bit of stuff going on before Ducktales.

Yup. To be fair it's an early classic and one of the great Lisa episodes. That said, it's pretty atypical and you'd be hard pressed to see anything similar for the rest of the golden age.

Present company excluded, that SNPP.com page about this episode contains some epic meltdowns and open letters that pretty much proved the episode right.

MMMBop is impressively good for a bunch of kids barely in their teens.

"Is this supposed to be serious?"

Yeah, for all of the "HOW DARE THEY" talk, they kinda forgot that part.

They pretty much did nothing with Bush, they barely touched Obama, and they're going to not do much with Trump.

Yup, all of those cars I see with the "Giant Meteor 2016" stickers secretly have a Trump sticker under them. Same with the 13% who put "Sweet Meteor of Death" as an option in summer polls last year.

That's how you get Clifford, and he's up there with Digit and Waldo C. Graphic in terms of memorable 90s Muppets.

Nonsense! More Kermit banging pigs he just met! More Kermit being a douche to his friends! More Piggy and Josh Groban getting it on! More homoerotic jokes from Scooter!

My band's version of Dopesmoker is 28 Days long.

It sounds like someone tried to out-spam Spam. It basically sounds like Spammy slices stuffed into a can with enough sodium (Sodium!) to keep it persevered long past a nuclear war. Sounds like something you'd pick up at a less ambitious dollar store these days.

They were around during Ed Sullivan?

It seems like there weren't that many hatchets to bury. A number of the crew have stated that the whole "rift" thing was pretty overblown other than some bristling at Jim…but even Joel and Jim appeared together at conventions and interviews in the past few years.

The MaryJo and Bridget stuff has been fantastic. I hope they get a few more movies under their belt, but the shorts are perfect: Check out the infamous "Naturally a Girl" episode as well as The Maturing Woman.

The 20 second version of Coal Black is going be awesome.

Come on, where else am I supposed to find channels that play nothing but CSI and Law & Order repeats all weekend long, or watch a 6 year old girl prepare for pageants with her criminally insane family?

Never heard of him.
