Alright, I agree with most of what limmic said, but I do take issue with one thing that nuke said about USA. To say a show on this network is not prone to having character development is to completely ignore the awesomeness that was much of The 4400. That show had a load of character development, great twists, and

good one.

Don't worry, it wasn't, it was a prop.

This season nothing has been accomplished. Detective what's-her-name? Dealt with… Maybe she'll return at some point, but who cares?

No prob, bud.

First of all, you did say BORDERS, and I think that it definitely crossed that border. Second of all, you said that you didn't care. How you find a way to not care about such a lazy wrap-up to an episode you are reviewing is beyond me, but hey—you must be easy to… Erm, wait, that's offensive too… I suppose I'll

Not to my satisfaction. All the reviewer did was sum up what happened and then said "That's where I checked out." BTW, way to concentrate on one of the more meaningless portions of my overall post, Your Loving Mother. I love how people who can't come up with something to say, or even a good argument, like to zero

Who says I don't like the show? I watched then bought the first two seasons, jackass. I'm disappointed with the third. I didn't know the forums were meant as a 'love fest' for fans of the show. I thought this was a place for discussion, including criticism.

I apologize for clumping you in with the Entourage crowd, but I will NOT excuse Burn Notice for its lazy writing and crappy pacing. For example, they could go the X-Files route (whether you like it or not) and reveal a larger conspiracy within the government… Have Mike fighting a different battle. Obviously they

SERIOUSLY?
You gave this episode a B+? That's where I check out…

Another Guiness Here: First of all, I wasn't referring to the genre (btw, True Blood is NOT a comedy). I was referring to the complexity of the writing. However, it is true that Shakespeare's comedy was FULL of puns, not completely unlike the scene we are discussing here.

I have been keeping the books and the show separate, but since Stan is in the next few episodes, we can be pretty sure he's not going to just vanish—especially when he's the guy calling for an all out war against the humans.

Plenty has happened and the answers have been coming pretty quickly. Two episodes ago we were wondering why Eric cared so much about Godric. Answer receieved! I mean, if you want the answer to what Maryann is, I could've told you at the beginning of the season that you're going to have to wait a while to find out.

Oh, and before the jackasses come out to play, yes Sam did meet her PRIOR to this episode… You know BEFORE she turned into a doe… It's so sad I have to qualify statements like that, because it seems like it's these minor meaningless details get all the attention in posts like this one.

Things that moved:

First of all, yes we learned there was another telepath LAST episode (talk about splitting hairs), but we weren't introduced to the character until this week… ANYWAY…

I'm sick of people saying that this ep. didn't advance the plot. It advanced it as much as it was necessary. Sookie decided to infiltrate the church, we were introduced to Stan, we got an extended intro to Barry, we found out that there are other shapeshifters and telepaths, we say Maryann use her powers for

Yes, porkchop, that was meant to be COMPLETELY serious. The fact of the matter is that Sookie would have done it if Eric said she was getting nothing aside from LaFayette. She didn't have a choice. However, Eric has a respect for Bill that compelled him to give her the money (as Bill knew he would—hence Bill upping

The guy with the user name is a complete tool too! Must be a coincidence…

Yes, a witch doctor would have already known the truth—oh wait, there' no way you could know for sure—since you know, witch doctors in real life don't have any powers and aren't really 'witch' doctors at all.
