Says you! What am I supposed to do with all these self-flagellation scars, now?

Today, I learned what "dipsomania" is. Thanks, AV Club!
I can't process this. I keep waiting for it to be revealed as a joke, or a mistake, or something. What a profound loss for music.
As Mr. LCD Soundsystem once said, "Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah, yeah-yeah, yeah… yeah-yeah, yeah-yeah, yeah-yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah, yeah-yeah, yeah… yeah, yeah-yeah, yeah-yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah, yeah-yeah, yeah… yeah, yeah-yeah, yeah-yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah, yeah-yeah,…
If you still don't know who Pepe the Frog is…count your blessings, you lucky bastard, and close this browser tab before it's too late.
The Amazing Spider-Man movies are bad on multiple levels, but the one that always stuck in my craw: They made Peter Parker a Brooklynite. SPIDER-MAN IS FROM QUEENS, DAMNIT.

Literally not a single character but one who died in this movie would have if any of them had a single lick of sense or competence.
She's…fine. It's not her fault. Literally every character in this movie except for Fassbenders' is paper-thin. I'm legit at a loss to describe her character at all beyond the things she says and does.
I had a real problem with this as well, because it automatically sets up emotionally-driven decisions that lead to dangerous/deadly situations, a la characters in zombie movies who won't shoot their now-zombified loved one because they think that person is still in there.
"There, they stumble upon tiny fungoid spores that burrow into the sinuses and ear canals of the unlucky"
Hey, cool it, man!
Camelot 3000 or GTFO
Strong work, Mr. Soundsystem.
Yeeeeeaaaah, but if this movie middles or bombs (which would be my bet) at the box office, do you think there's going to be a big drive to get that done?
*weeps for the HBO series that might have been*
As much as I like this, nothing will ever top Bert & Ernie doing "Ante Up."
I feel like there needs to be some separation of "impact" vs. "quality." Like, yes, OK, a shitload of bands were influenced by The VU, and by this record, in particular. And if you heard those bands first, then heard this album, OK, I could understand you not finding it revolutionary. *But that doesn't make it any…
And I would have never known to stop all the downloadin' without Mutt's help.
