Thank you. Work harder to convince them? Jesus Christ, have you ever spoken to one of these people? They were and remain unmovable - facts, logic, emotional appeal, begging, outright bribery…nothing works. Short of straight-up incapacitating them on election day, Nancy Kerrigan-style, there wasn't a way to keep them…

That was officially my fourth-saddest loss of the year.

I didn't ask to be this guy, but since no one else has said it: The Bothans line from Return of the Jedi is in reference to the plans for the second Death Star, not the first, which is the one this film is about.

I hear you. I had this moment earlier in the year when I thought, "Man, it's a shame they'll never tour that record," then thought about why, and what that would mean, and just got really sad for a while.

I feel like School of Seven Bells' SVIIB is getting ignored in a lot of these lists because it came out waaaaay back in February. It's a fantastic, personal record if you're at all into the synth-pop thing.

The airport scene in Civil War just depressed me. Like, these are all heroes. Watching them fight each other, while fun on a surface level, gets kind of depressing if you scratch beneath it at all. Oh, good, another, "That thing you and your friends found entertaining or in some way enjoyable or comforting? YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG" article. I just can't get enough of those.
