Translation: "Not giving a shit about other people is fun and funny, me, me, me, look at me!"

Shoulda put "person" in quotes in the headline, there, chief.

17. The cliff off of which the quality of AV Undercover nose-dived this year.

Could whoever has the time machine then go back even further and just delete the Internet?

Thank you. Work harder to convince them? Jesus Christ, have you ever spoken to one of these people? They were and remain unmovable - facts, logic, emotional appeal, begging, outright bribery…nothing works. Short of straight-up incapacitating them on election day, Nancy Kerrigan-style, there wasn't a way to keep them

That was officially my fourth-saddest loss of the year.

I didn't ask to be this guy, but since no one else has said it: The Bothans line from Return of the Jedi is in reference to the plans for the second Death Star, not the first, which is the one this film is about.

I hear you. I had this moment earlier in the year when I thought, "Man, it's a shame they'll never tour that record," then thought about why, and what that would mean, and just got really sad for a while.

I feel like School of Seven Bells' SVIIB is getting ignored in a lot of these lists because it came out waaaaay back in February. It's a fantastic, personal record if you're at all into the synth-pop thing.

Captain America *threw a building at a teenager*. He had no idea if Spider-Man was going to catch that building, or if he

Oh, good, another, "That thing you and your friends found entertaining or in some way enjoyable or comforting? YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG" article. I just can't get enough of those.

"and that was way worse than Donald Trump becoming president."

Baby Groot is cute and all, but I'll take, "SCREW YOU, SPACESHIP!" FTW.

This is better than a full third of the actual AV Club Undercover performances this year.

"AVC: Do you think you’re still learning things, even at 33?"

"We should have higher taxes on a certain tax bracket" or "we should take a harder line with Iran" are political opinions. "Silicon Valley has too many Asian people" and "It's right to be afraid of Muslims" are hateful points of view that I am in no way obliged to respect.

"And still, making these sort of judgments about people we don't know, based on a few comments that may or may not have the proper context"

Anyone else just walking around feeling like you're on the verge of literally vomiting every minute of every day for the past week and a half?
