Seriously, I was just thinking to myself while watching the episode that we have heard far from enough from the Greatjon in the midst of all this.

I didn't catch it the first time, either - it was, "No wonder Renly died with you guarding him."

I dunno, man - the look of anticipation on his face when he was getting ready to "treat" Jaime's hand was pretty creepy, to me.

"losing half your Army in the name of so called justice is no way to win a war,"

"Superman." Niagara Falls, every single time.

I can't page through all the comments to see if anyone's mentioned this, but I absolutely loved the end of Y: The Last Man, particularly the final fate of Yorick. Just a perfect end to such a brilliant series.

Yeah, I'm stunned no one mentioned that one. It was such a perfect ending for that show.

I saw Josie & the Pussycats at a press screening and walked out so impressed with how much smarter it was than it had any reason to be. I'm sure part of that was the power of diminished expectations, but all things considered, I think it deserved better than it got. Killer soundtrack, too.

Yeah, man. Matthew Sweet, Adam Schlesinger, Bif Naked and Kay Hanley from Letters to Cleo all contributed songwriting work, and Hanley was the voice of Josie. It's polished to a high sheen, but much higher quality stuff than you'd think would be associated with your average cartoon cash-in.

Two other notes to recommend The Long Goodbye:

Well, in our defense, I thought that we'd start over…but I guess I was wrong.

So, having read this article, I went back and watched the episode tonight, and enjoyed it…but when "What's Going to Happen?" came up, I started thinking about all the doctors, EMTs, and average citizens who so heroically worked on Monday - and who are still heroically working - to save people's lives after those bombs

@avclub-e463f97ca6bc46b1ba706474e108c7e1:disqus , you restore my faith in humanity.

I could not disagree more. The change in Claude's character and the whole Berger/Claude switch was a ridiculous contrivance that lacked any of the emotional heft of Claude being a hippy who actually has to struggle with his conscience and whether he should or shouldn't serve. The tragedy of his ending up (SPOILERS, I

Mad Men. I watched the first few episodes and was so turned off by the repeated use of the "Ha ha, look at these dumb assholes from the '50s! Weren't they dumb back then? Not like YOU, clever viewer" thing that I walked away and have never looked back.

YES! Any time I'm carrying something delicate, dangerous, or liable to fall, I say that. No one around whom I've ever said it has gotten the reference.

Every time I hear "Mamas, Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys," I have to throw in "Chipmunks!" after the last word of the chorus's first line. Ah, my misspent youth.

I came down here to post exactly that comment. Curse you and your lightning-quick reflexes.

STUNNING

My favorite thing: The absolute *disdain* with which Brienne deflected Jaime's attacks and advanced on him at the end of their duel. The Maid of Tarth FTW.
