Pixar
When I'm really really sick or in a lot of pain, I can only watch Pixar movies. They're funny, entertaining and uncomplicated. I would go to the Simpsons as well but I know all the episodes too well for them to be distracting. When I get pregnant I'm going to have a big Pixar marathon when I'm in labor.

Oh yeah, and if they dump the letters to Franklin angle they'll have to change the title (which really wouldn't be such a bad idea. I hate that title.)

Ferdinand- Good question. Voice-over, I guess. Cheap, but I can't see how they can do without the letters to Franklin bit. Also, who are they going to get to play Kevin? That's going to be tricky. Also, Franklin is just going to look like a complete dumb ass on screen. He was hard enough to believe in print.

"Sir Ian Sir Ian Sir Ian……ACTION! THOU SHALL NOT PASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CUT! Sir Ian."

God damn it
I love Margaret Atwood but I really couldn't get into Oryx and Crake, even though I've read it several times (I keep thinking I'm missing something). The world of Oryx and Crake is just too cold for any sympathetic characters to emerge (our protagonist is a former child porn aficionado for crying out

Bender- I always drink my NyQuil like that. How could you not? It comes with a little shot glass.

nuclear workers, jazz dancers and pastry chefs.
The "wacky union made up of random professions" bit really pissed me off. Blatant rip off.

Hey!
Leslie Gore did "You Don't Own Me". She gets a pass.

Good point. He's probably out there somewhere still tinkering with Munich.

danrimage- I coudn't have said it better myself. I feel bad that the US prison population really had only one show that tried to tell its story and it was one as (eventually) ridiculous as OZ, but fuck it. It was a good show that worked on its own terms.

Ellie- Thank you! I laughed so hard the first time I saw it.

Now that you mention it, Betty sort of reminds me of Dawn.

Was that the first time we've seen Don do something klutzy? It was kind of jarring, in a good way. He handled it well though.

More of a "being related to Joan Didion" curse. That poor woman.

True. He's inexplicably bitchy in the first 20 minutes of ESB. He's bitchy through most of the movie actually, but until the Hoth attack he didn't have any real reason to be.

I wrote a song about an octopus!

Happy to help!

Upside
If this project keeps him away from "The Corrections" I'm all for it.

ortenzia- Here you go. Warning: Tarantino has terrible grammar problems.

And one from the presumed Parrot Head Patch Adams.
