Plath and Hughes.
Plath and Hughes.
I mean more obscure than Johns. Damn it.
Definitely less than Jasper Johns. Johns gets covered in Art History 101. I took a fair amount of lit courses in college and the first time I heard of Pinsky was on The Simpsons.
Robert Pinsky was on the Simpsons. That would imply that he was at least semi famous and respected as a poet, right? (Although he still goes down as their most obscure guest star.)
5 or 6 times? How many genocides have you been through that you need to watch Dodgeball 5 to 6 times to cheer you up?
You could probably write a pretty decent paper that compares American and British interpretations to the same basic plot. The American films are all about discovering the secret and running away. (Spoiler) The kids in Never Let Me Go know exactly what is going to happen yet THEY NEVER TRY TO RUN AWAY. Throw in what…
Cabaret
I pretty much just know her from the 1998 Cabaret revival soundtrack. Now I have her rendition of "Cabaret" stuck in my head. it's really not helping.
Hear God Laugh- that movie was called Second Sight and it topped my list of worst movies before MST3K came along.
No Veronica Mars?
Sarah Peirse
Honestly, how fantastic is Sarah Peirse as Pauline's mom? It's funny as I get older I identify with her so much more than I do the girls. Which is probably why I don't watch it anymore. (Used to love that movie when I was in college).
And how many unicorns is that?
Fuck I thought that Mark Twain line was a joke:
Heh.
"I know the press!"
The Sorbonne will know my wrath.
I admire your fortitude Fantastic Bastard! Be proud that you hung in there!
I was there too. I live in DC, I like Obama so I thought I would give it a shot.
Hey give the man a break. Spider eggs just hatched in his brain.
BTW, if he doesn't say the exact right words does it still count?
Yeah! What the fuck was that all about?
Frito- I agree. You'd think it would fairly easy to throw together a decent chupacabra movie.
