I'll represent people born in the late 80's by saying Jurassic Park. Still remember seeing it at the cinemas as a 4 year old, then getting a happy meal with a T-rex toy afterwards. Would have watched it over 50 times in the year it came out on vhs. So it was fantastic seeing it in the cinema again a few weeks ago.

Not animated, but I keep wondering, in a landscape where studios make movies based off of tabletop boardgames for brand recocgnition. Why doesn't a studio make a Call of Duty movie?

I think you have it backwards regarding Emma Watson. She was a good child actor throughout the Harry Potter series, while I found her to be quite underwhelming in Perks, that may have been the accent though.
