Ride the tiger! You can see his stripes but ya know he's clean!

No, the scariest part of that movie is the little boy ghost, moaning by the side of the bed with his big eyes. Downright spine-tingling.

dude, what about the nazi monster dream sequence? That scared the crap out of me.

yeah, that scene is IT for me. I had a weirdly similar thing happen to me when I was 12 or 13 at my grandparents house. I was sorta sleeping in a room during a thunderstorm and they had this clown doll sitting up in a rocking chair in the corner. One lighting bolt hit so close and hard that when I looked over, the

Well, it's more of a tone piece than anything- very evocative of an era and a slightly nostalgic yet bittersweet light on a generation that is coming of age. for me, though, it just works like a favorite song or album. Almost every character seems right for the movie (w/ the exception of Milla Jovovich) and I don't

I almost forgot one- Truly. This band was SOOOO under-rated, that it still gets me angry. Awesome, awesome band.

The Witches. Under-appreciated when they were around for sure.
Big Chief- pretty good rock-funk band from Deeetrroit.
Forbidden- technical thrash from the Bay Area that had some interesting songs and style.
I almost want to say the Cardigans but they were kinda big for a while but IMO totally forgotten now.
Agony

E6!! Love these guys- "Down at McDonaldzz" is the unknown smash hit of the mid-00's. I'll chip in on Thin Lizzy too, although I like them in full-rock mode more than plaintive ballad time.

Yes yes yes. Life On Other Planets is one of my all-time favorites.

you got dead ears, mate.

Yeah, Beverly D' Angelo over Christie Brinkley ANYDAY.

Hooray! I know Mr. Proops ain't for everyone but goddamn, he is sharp as a friggin' knife.

The closer to the edge, the hotter the intensityyyyy….

Smartest Man in the World
Glad to see other commenters checking out Greg Proop's podcast. I'm a little befuddled that the AVclub never seems to cover it but there is a shitload of podcasts out there. I love the fact that it's just him, solo in front of a bar crowd and he is defiantly unafraid of audience silence or

I'll give you the ones I've read-
His Captain America run
The Iron Fist issues with him and Matt Fraction
Daredevil

Lemme just put on

The Smartest Man In The World podcast
is pretty good. It's Greg Proops, and it's a one-man show but I like his snarky style. Of course, his glib, hyper-verbal stylings aren't for everyone but I like his digressions and progressive bent.

Spam anything
We were a lower middle-class Midwestern family for a long while and although we could afford decent food, my stepdad would insist on buying several cans of Spam and making straight-up sliced Spam with mayo on white bread sandwiches, which triggered my gag reflex something fierce.

Thundercats…Ho!!
Or not. I would like to think that this series (and Silverhawks, it's blatant spin-off) would be half as awesome as they were when I was 12 or 13 but I am going to think "No".

I had to wake up at 5:30 am on Saturdays to watch BOTP in Kansas City in the late 70's/early 80's. Right after the farm report. Everything else was kinda blah after that, honestly- Smurfs, even Superfriends.
