I had to read through the list twice to be certain that 'Magnolia' wasn't on it somewhere. But I was really shocked by the absence of 'Malcolm X.' That's easily a Top 10  of the '90s. At least one critic mentioned it here as an outlier. And I've never met anyone who prefers 'Out of Sight' to 'Jackie Brown.' Maybe that

No 'Malcolm X' is something to disagree with. And unless I missed it, ''Leaving Las Vegas' seems like a big oversight. Even 'JFK.' I like 'Starship Troopers' and all, but I would sacrifice it for at least one of those titles.

I'm starting to wonder about this, too. First, I didn't understand remaking a great recent film that, although South Korean, has pretty excellent dubbing. But now Jackson is attached? He and Spike Lee have said some pretty shitty things about each other over the years. (In response to Lee criticizing use of the 'N'

Wouldn't it be fun to travel cross-country in a van with the Ancient Mariner and the guy who narrates "Heart of Darkness"?

I saw this in the theater and have little memory of it, which isn't a good sign. Something brought me out of the movie, and it could easily be this scene, although I'd forgotten about it. I do remember his eruption when the waiters gather to sing him "Happy Birthday" in the restaurant. His reaction is what defines his

We're talking about race relations, you fucking Belgian. Please stay on topic.

Hmm, I sparked dialogue on race relations in America. I'll be damned.

I think I saw a Whitney Cummings standup show on Netflix where she makes a joke about racists of yore who hated the Irish. I don't expect to blow anyone's mind with this tidbit, but it's out there now.

He was kicked out of it at some point in the late '80s.

Please, have mercy. No more Goodfellas quips.
It is my favorite movie, though, and I don't want to see different actors portraying Jimmy, Paulie, etc. And after reading "On the Run: A Mafia Childhood," a memoir by Henry Hill's son, I don't like the thought of that guy receiving another penny by selling the rights to

Yeah, TooMuchTime, I was reaching a bit when I suggested there was a joke buried in there. Methinks the writers just didn't give a shit about making sense.
