You are correct, not every show needs to be "Lost"… Personally I tired of that show after awhile.

The thing is… if he had shown up and said he was "The Governor" accompanied by a "duh duh duh dun!" moment in the show, that would sort of undercut the attempt to set him up as a person who might be okay…

Same here. If Halloween III had simply been called "Season of the witch" it probably would have a better reputation today. It's a clever albeit flawed horror movie that deserves more than what it got.

But one thing still worries me… The pilot episode was incredible and then this show had a middle of the first season that felt directionless. Season 2's first episode was really good and then we had a season of no direction. Which means that a really good first episode doesn't necessarily make any promises about…

Well… Maybe the writers figured out that the group dynamics weren't working as they were and that showing every agonizing detail of ow the group went from the annoying band of idiots in season 2 to a more cohesive group led by a person slowly going nuts would have been bad. So they just hit the fast forward button.

Well, I give up waiting for Netflix to get this show… I'm just going to go out to B&N tomorrow and pick up a copy of it.
