By halfway through season 3 and all the way through season 4, B5 becomes the show I use for my personal yardstick for how good a TV can get. It takes awhile to get there, but when you do you are thankful for the build up.

I think O'Hare certainly improved as the season went on… the first couple episodes he felt as if he were finding his place, but by roughly the halfway point he was perfectly fine in my book. The same could be said for Boxleitner in season 2, except it took a bit less for him since he was more experienced with TV…

Personally, "Soul Hunter" was one of those early episodes that grabbed me. I liked the idea, I kinda liked the ambiguity - even beyond the existence or non-existence of a "Soul" there is the question of whether what he was doing was right or wrong - and that chant of his was somehow disturbing. I was always one of…

There was only really one major problem with "Genesis of the Daleks"… It's sort of padded by a bit too many "Running through corridors" scenes and at least one cliffhanger (Sarah Jane falling) that was resolved a tad to easy. I'd rate it a 93-95 out of 100 just for those drawbacks.
I have decided to sort of just hit the "I Believe" button in the new series… after all, for a entire race that keeps being completely ended they certainly have a cockroaches ability to survive… Perhaps the Time War reset them? ("The Time War" being the "Get out of jail free card" of the new series)
I don't know… I never quite warmed to season 5 of Angel. It was never "bad" but it also never quite grabbed me as really representative of what the show could do in it's prime. Perhaps if it had run into season 6 the show would have settled into the new rythm better. But then again - even a bad season of either Buffy…
You know, I always sort of took that as an example that the fire nation knew very well what was what… they didn't really support Ozai but had to include some fan service to him just to avoid his wrath… Which, for an otherwise very light episode, exposes some kinda darker elements of Ozais govt…
"Working with a not-as-high-profile medium like animation for TV should
have allowed DC to take a different direction with this as opposed to
the movie series."
Well… That was short as sweet for a writeup…
Wow… You had the same exact experience with that old Batman show I had when I was a kid…
How cool would it be to have a series of "Sandman : TAS"?
Davros little speech in that serial is one of the most chilling instances of a villain in the series…
You know, it's interesting… I enjoy reading these reviews a lot, but I have yet to watch a single episode of this show or even have the slightest urge to do so.
One tiny line that shows a bit about Willow and her self-awareness : She is in a relationship with Tara who is not the most forceful of personalities and is therefore dominated by Willow. When willow is told that purple is "Royal", Willow refers to herself is the *king* of everything… Notice she referred to herself as…
Well, like I said, I suspect I was reading WAY too much into it. But at the same time, some of the overall themes sort of fit - crimes were committed against her but her way of striking back is just as bad… And sending her to a jail run by those she is fighting against isn't a great thing since that means the cycle of…
You know… I always kinda wondered if the name "Hama" wasn't a sort of reference to the real world intricacies of Israel and Palestine. After all, she is trying to revenge the misdeeds performed on her by doing things just as bad - which sort of echoes a lot of the problems in the real world… But I was probably reading…
I don't know… It felt like a shell of what it once was. If they had sold it as a spinoff, then that would have helped it quite a bit. But as a season 9 of the show it felt like a cheat. Especially coming right after "My Finale" at the end of season 8 - that two parter would have been the perfect way to end the series.…
