Dunces with Will Ferrell probably wouldn't work, although Stranger Than Fiction was pretty solid so I wouldn't totally rule it out. Jack Black comes to mind, although he's probably a little too self-aware in his acting to pull off Ignatius correctly.

Perhaps "tolerate" was a strong word to use, but the whole point of the series is to give the uninitiated a sampling of artists that are representative of the genre enough to give you an idea if it's worth your time to explore it beyond just those few.

Elf and Enchanted
USA is showing these movies back-to-back this weekend, and after having seen Elf before and Enchanted just now, I have to say that while they aren't Citizen Kane or anything, they are very serviceable sweet movies and a heck of a way to spend a few hours.
