Ugh, late to the comments, but the description "fun but unambitious" is damning with faint praise indeed.

When I caught it first as a kid, Silver Nemesis was great because the Cybermen were on the TV again, and that was all that mattered.

The costumes took me out of this story more than any other Who story. Wasn't there some sort of giant ball with an eye? Reminded me of Skipper the Eye child.

Yeah, but they had the internets in the 70s. Real check is if they Google for something or use Yahoo!

Two things I always wonder about this series, one, when is it set. Going by the looks of the cars alone, it seems to be the 70s. I get that ISIS is a bit strapped for cash, hence the 70s computers, but the outside world is a bit odd two.

It wouldn't lose anything in translation though, like when the Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles had Mikey sporting a grappling hook instead of nun-chucks.

What if the viewer is in motion at a speed close to c relative to the cinema screen?

Do we still do this?

Really this should only be considered a controversy if they wasted the horses.

It's been ages since I've watched an episode, but was it not a "boop boop be doop" ring tone?

Nicely timed to come full circle.

He's one of those actors who an otherwise rubbish film didn't deserve.

Looks like he's about to thrash someone with the talking stick.

A sad couple of days given the recent passing of Ralph McQuarrie too. I hope Syd Mead has some time left in him.

With the choreographer for the light sabre fights gone and now McQuarrie, all we need is for John Williams to pass away and everyone who made Star Wars great will be gone.

Homer Simpson, if only because a coworker of mine seems to have his worst traits. Sadly, I think I'm becoming like that other fellow in the series who picked up on the same thing, Grimes wasn't it?

That's what it sounded like to me, but I've not been on any Trek boards of late to find out more.

With the one First Doctor story I have on DVD aside, this is all I've seen of Hartnell on screen by himself. I really can't remember if it's worth trying to get a copy of this to watch with my daughter.

That's one of those 80s sequels that wasn't as bad for me as everyone makes it out to be. Sort of like Beverley Hills Cop 2 (which was in the 80s, wasn't it?)

I can't reply directly to TestTubeMonkey, but I agree, reading Neuromancer relatively recently it was just awful.
